Seths Blog: Little lies and small promises.

This is a great blog from Sinclair Schuller at SaaSBlogs - he basically says that too many SaaS vendors cop-out because their product is too complex to build self-service tools.  The customers would never understand (they say).

Regardless of what one thinks, more and more people expect SaaS companies to have access to self-service tools.  At my day job – M5 Networks – we are currently working on a major development effort to deliver a smart phone system in 15 minutes.

Its quite the challenge to simplify something that is so complex, but we expect that the rewards will be great in customer satisifaction and efficiency.
